Swipe Mobility - Your Handy Vehicle

Swipe Mobility is a project aimed at developing new portable micromobility products. With our products, we aim to improve the quality and environmental impact of last-mile urban transportation. Our proposed product is a vehicle consisting of motorized soles that can be attached to shoes during use. The vehicle's acceleration and deceleration are controlled through a smartphone acting as a remote control. Once finished using the vehicle, it can be conveniently stored in the provided backpack or bag.

Swipe Mobility

Nicola Quattrone: Artificial Intelligence student at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and Bachelor's degree holder in Automation Engineering from the University of Bologna. Through previous work experiences and dedicated university programs, they have developed a strong entrepreneurial inclination and specific skills in the field of startups and business development. Alessandro Mattioli: Electronic engineer, graduated from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. During his university studies, he worked part-time in the field of low-level programming and electronic design. Following his studies, he worked for two and a half years in the engineering consulting sector, one of which was within a Swiss consulting company. These years of work allowed him to acquire excellent technical knowledge related to electronic development and technical expertise in general, as well as excellent management and coordination skills. His inclination towards entrepreneurship allowed him, in the last year, to manage technical activities and plan the development of the 'Swipe Mobility' project. Rosario Santoro: Mechanical technician with nearly thirty years of experience in mechanical development and production. Rosario is the manager of a workshop that produces mechanical components for the automotive industry. In the project, he is responsible for the mechanical development of prototypes and interfaces with local companies. Roberto Zanichelli: Graduate in computer engineering and automation. Subsequently, successfully completed a Ph.D. in electronic engineering with a focus on control systems and electronic instrumentation. Since obtaining the master's degree, he started working on various projects in collaboration with the industry, ranging from software design and programming to embedded electronic systems. During his Ph.D., he developed an interest in electronic control systems, motor control, and firmware development, proposing innovative design models and architectures. After a few years working in a small company, he transitioned to multinational environments, culminating in his most recent role as a senior embedded systems consultant. He joined the team as a firmware and embedded systems developer, working on firmware design and implementation, and providing support in hardware design. Roberta Irardi: Biomedical engineer specialized in the industrial field. His career began with a research grant at the Institute of Robotics, where he worked on the development of endoscopic capsules and hospital monitoring systems. His curiosity then led him to explore other aspects of product development, making him highly versatile in technical development. Within the team, he serves as a designer and developer of mechanical components. Diego Sebastiani: Graduated in product design and visual communication at the Polytechnic University of Turin, he has gained considerable experience working on projects related to physical products, interior design, and exhibits. In the project, he is responsible for product design and user interactions. Federico Mazzaglia : Mechanical engineering student at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, he participated in the first edition of the project organized by the European Space Agency 'Fly a Rocket!' in 2016, representing Italy as the sole representative. Federico has been passionate about 3D printing for over four years, with specific expertise in Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) printing technologies. In the project, he is responsible for mechanical development.
