SimpleFOC Robotics

Home: California, United States

Explore the world of motor control with the SimpleFOCproject! SimpleFOC is an Arduino ecosystem that simplifies Field-Oriented Control (FOC) for brushless and stepper motors, making it accessible to makers and enthusiasts of all levels. With FOC, you can achieve precise and efficient motor control, opening up endless possibilities for robotics, automation, and more. Join us for a live demonstrations where we will be showcasing two quadruped robots, and a few other devices, to learn how FOC can bring precision and efficiency to your DIY projects. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced maker, SimpleFOC has something to offer.

What Inspired You to Make This?

The motivation behind creating SimpleFOC was to demystify advanced motor control (Field-Oriented Control) for the broader maker community by making an open source ecosystem, while also teaching the theory behind this technique. We aimed to simplify complex techniques, enabling makers to achieve precise motor control in their projects, whether they were beginners or experienced enthusiasts. The resulting library and documentation has been a major force to put brushless servo technology in the hands of makers around the world, and in return the community greatly contributes with continuous improvements.
