I started fighting combat robots as a hobby 5yrs ago, and along the way, I've picked up a long list of maker skills. Things got really interesting for me when I decided to host my first combat robot event in 2021. I revived the combat robotics scene in the Midwest after COVID-19 and went on to found the Midwest Robot Combat Association in addition to running all the combat robot events in Wisconsin. I've recently decided to combine Wisconsin Robot Combat events with Betz Botz, my company dedicated to selling easy-to-use combat robot kits. Now I'll be running monthly events with cash prizes out of Beloit, WI for the foreseeable future.

I've always had a ton of fun building and fighting combat robots. I've learned a lot, and it's been an incredibly satisfying endeavor. Things only got better when I started figuring out how to host my own events, and it just all came together to try running a business off this.
