Making a Difference

Making a Difference

The Maker Movement is a movement of people, not of things. Kids can "make" a difference with their minds, their hearts, and their hands. Learn about simple, low cost ways that children can help local organizations through community service making opportunities.

What inspired you to begin investigating your topic or inspired you to make your project?:
We are inspired to help our students understand that making with their hands is just as important as academic learning. They can learn critical thinking and problem-solving skills while developing empathy, collaboration, and communication skills. My own children enjoy making items at home.
