Taking a photo with your message will surely become a great memory at Maker Faire Bay Area. We have created a DIY split-flap display kit called AfterAI Flaps. In 2023, OpenAI's ChatGPT with GPT-4 amazed us with its human-level intelligence. Although technical advancements should be welcomed, we are worried about a future where people might lose interest in the things that AI can do better, faster, and cheaper. We have observed that it has become harder to find meaning in what we have been proudly doing for work and study. We (currently I, as AfterAI Inc. is a single-person company for now) exist to celebrate human creativity in this world after AI. We create things and share our activities to rekindle imaginations and dreams in people.

I've always wanted to create my own split-flap displays since beginning my maker journey. They not only display letters but also entertain with their soothing sound. Thanks to davidkingsman for providing a great starting point with his split-flap project.
