I was looking for the perfect present for my dad's birthday. At the same time my wife, who teaches music lessons, needed a new clock for her studio. Coincidently, we had a floor installer working on our new floors. The installer showed me all of the left-over small pieces and odds and ends of flooring that could not be used. He offered to take them to the dump. This seemed like such a waste! The pieces of flooring were too small for the floor, but there must be some use for them. Aha! With the right ideas and equipment, I could turn them into clocks! This is how CLOQ was born.
