MICRO4BIO: le biotecnologie microbiche per un futuro sostenibile.
The MICRO4BIO project aims to promote the direct impact of biotechnology on people's lives, representing an element of great interest, not only scientific but also social, on which to insert wide-ranging and deeply topical dissemination and cultural actions. In MICRO4BIO team there are representatives of the Italian Biotechnologists Association, researchers from the University of Bari and young startuppers who promote the culture of sustainability through microbial biotechnologies that exploit microorganisms to develop new processes and new products by a circular bioeconomy approach.

Isabella Pisano
Isabella Pisano is a researcher at University of Bari in field of industrial biotechnology. She is assistant professor in microbiology, fermentation biotechnology and biorefinery. She is mentor and member of scientific board of several startup and companies. Antonino Biundo is a Marie-Curie Individual Fellowship at University of Bari. He is founder Rewow, a start up which trasform waste cooking oils into value-added products by biocatalysis approach. Both are members of the national board of directors of the Italian Biotechnologists association.
