Emergency Ventilators from Ambu Bags

Emergency Ventilators from Ambu Bags

This Pneumatic Breath Delivery System uses an Ambu-Bag or other deformable 1000ml object which is controlled via a pneumatic air cylinder. The cylinder is controlled by two solenoid valves that apply pressure/vacuum from conventional compressors as needed to control delivered pressure and volume. Feed back is provided by pressure and flow sensors in the deformable bag.

What are the problems you aim to help solve with this project?:
Although production has ramped up on ventilators in the US and other countries, there are countries as well as field environments where that kind of manufacturing scale is impractical. This project creates a low-cost, easy-to-fabricate ventilator solution.
