Pineal, a camera-based, app-enabled pin detection device automates the process of informing the visually impaired bowlers about the pin-up positions. This device eliminates human assistance to tell the bowlers which pins remain standing.

Team Pineal was formed in 2017 by passionate science and engineering students from The City University of Hong Kong, who aim to create innovative and viable technological solutions for visually impaired people who wish to play the game of Bowling.
