Driving Directions from around the bay area
From SF & East Bay
Cross the Carquinez Bridge and take Exit 30A for I-780 West / Benicia / Martinez, following signs to loop under the overpass.
Continue on I-780 as it becomes Curtola Parkway along the waterfront, then turn left onto Mare Island Causeway.
Follow the causeway onto Mare Island and follow event signage for parking and entrance.
From Santa Rosa
Take Highway 101 South toward San Francisco, then take Highway 37 East toward Vallejo.
Continue on Highway 37 toward Vallejo, then take the Mare Island / Walnut Avenue exit just before the raised overpass. Follow the signs toward Mare Island and continue onto the island.
Follow event signage for parking and entrance.
From sacramento
Take I-80 West toward Vallejo, then take Exit 33B to merge onto Highway 37 West toward Novato / San Rafael. Continue on Highway 37 for approximately 4.7 miles and take the Mare Island exit (Exit 17).
Follow the signs toward Mare Island and continue toward the event entrance.
Follow event signage for parking and entrance.
From San Jose
Take I-680 North over the Benicia Bridge, then follow I-780 West toward Vallejo. I-780 becomes Curtola Parkway as you approach the waterfront.
Continue along Curtola Parkway, passing the marinas, then turn left onto Mare Island Causeway.
Follow the causeway onto Mare Island and follow event signage for parking and entrance.
NOTE: The Mare Island Causeway is one-way into the Faire and cannot be used to exit. To leave the island, follow Highway 37.
We strongly recommend purchasing your parking pass in advance. Parking is available within walking distance of the Faire, including ADA-accessible spots for guests who need them. Parking is free on Friday. Single Day passes are $20 in advance and prices will increase on-site. Weekend parking passes are $30 and only available online.
Skip the traffic and let someone else do the driving. San Francisco Bay Ferry is running special Maker Faire service on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, docking right at the Mare Island terminal.
A FREE shuttle connects the Vallejo terminal to Mare Island on select trips (marked on the schedule), so you can sail in from Downtown San Francisco and hop straight to the faire without paying twice.

- Downtown S.F. to Mare Island: $10 (discount $5, kids under 5 FREE)
- Vallejo to Mare Island: $2.85, and FREE on select shuttle trips
Pay with Clipper, tap a debit or credit card, or grab tickets on the SF Bay Ferry app. Arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your departure. Boarding is first-come, first-served.
