Making Young Makers at the Keene Public Library

In 2014, the Keene Public LIbrary in New Hampshire became a Maker Corps site. Since then we have redesigned all of our programming to incorporate making, collaboration, and playful learning. This presentation will offer highlights from our Maker programming for babies through teens.
Gail Zachariah
Gail has been a librarian for many years but before she was a librarian she was a museum educator at the Los Angeles Children's Museum and the Denver Children's Museum. She works at the Keene Public Library NH and has worked at the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, Ohio Valley Area Libraries, and the Springfield Town Library in Springfield, Vt.

Jay Fee
A native of Jackson Heights, Queens, Jay Fee has 7 years of experience working in public libraries. He is currently the Teen Services Librarian at the Keene Public Library in Keene, NH, as well as an Adult Circulation Clerk at Brooks Memorial Library in Brattleboro, VT. He is also a student at the University of Alabama pursuing his Master of Library and Information Studies degree online.
Amy Kraemer
Amy Kraemer is a youth librarian at the Keene Public Library in Keene, NH. She has an undergraduate degree in fine arts and a Masters of Library Science from Simmons College. Amy has been making and tinkering since she was a child and thoroughly enjoys facilitating creative learning opportunities for children.
