We are CalSTAR, UC Berkeley's Space Technologies and Rocketry team! We all hold an interest in the aerospace industry and want to send a rocket into space one day. We also intend to create an aerospace community in Berkeley.
We are CalSTAR, UC Berkeley's Space Technologies and Rocketry team! URSA Major was this year's submission for NASA's Student Launch competition, where we attempted to reach a mile high, detect and identify ground targets, and land upright.
What inspired you to make this project?:
Everyone on our team has had an interest in planes, rockets, jets, or just really really fast things that explode. As such, we all came together and joined the school's rocketry team and chose NASA Student Launch as an educational and interesting competition. The project is our submission for this competition.
