I am a professional in the visual effects industry for 25 years, and most of that time, using my acquired skills, have been sculpting, model making and, most importantly, molding and life casting plants and animals for use in my own creations.
Bioluminoids are light animated glass and resin sculptures fabricated using life castings molded directly from plants and organic materials. They are interactive via a WIFI phone app with a simple UI that lets you program your own custom animations.
What inspired you to make this project?:
I wish to encourage humans to be more interested in discovering the alien world right here on our planet in the depths of the oceans. Mars is cool, but we have a lot of unfinished business exploring our own planet.
