Hi, I'm Blythe Serrano! I'm 13 years old, and a student at Beacon High School in Stamford, Connecticut. I've been making since I was nine, and this is my third time exhibiting at World Maker Faire New York.
Wearable Electronics for pets, including the Light-Up at Night Pet Collar, which lights up in in the dark to make your dog or cat more visible, and the Light-Up Dog Sweater, a felt cape featuring 10 color changing LEDs perfect for nighttime walks.
What inspired you to make this project?:
My cat and two dogs - several of the lights on my street are broken, making it very hard for cars to see if an animal is crossing the road. I wanted to create something that would make my pets more visible when we take them for walks or let them outside at night.
