An affordable braille translator that fills several existing gaps by preserving format and allowing reading speeds faster than commercially available text-to-voice and text-to-braille products.
What inspired you to make this project?:
We were on a road trip listening to NPR, and they were talking about efforts to make an all-braille tablet, and how right now everything is just conceptual because to make enough braille characters would take hundreds of thousands of dollars and be virtually impossible. We though, "thats a dumb solution, you don't need hundreds of braille letters, you just need one that moves around."
