Clay and Steel returns for an fiery forging demonstration at Maker Faire. Projects will be tailored towards the Faire's creative, fantasy loving, LARPing, geeky audience. We'll be crafting items like hammers, knives, leaves, and charms, demonstrating the process while enjoying the craft. Visit our booth to observe a complete project demonstration, and for those over 18 in non-flammable attire, there will be limited hands-on opportunities available.

Clay and Steel LLC is an woman owned and operated blacksmithing business. The owner, Celeste Flores is known for her beautiful, organic, forged creations in bronze and steel. Clay and Steel teaches blacksmithing to all levels, introducing students to the art of forging. We love gathering together to play with fire and swing hammers.

What Inspired You to Make This?
I love Maker Faire! This will be my sixth year as an active participant. I spent several showcasing my forging with The Crucible, and I'm thrilled to be back representing my own brand. I am a metal nerd, and fantasy and Sci Fi nerd and I enjoy cosplay. I thought it would be appropriate to pick projects this year that appeals to the costume wearing, history loving, curious crowd that is the Maker Faire audience.
