One of the largest volunteer-run clothing swaps and DIY sewing hackathons on every continent (except Antarctica). 11.3 million tons of textile waste end up in U.S. landfills annually; 6,000 lbs of which has been diverted here for your creative soul. We have sewing machines, knowledgeable volunteers, and diverse activities designed to encourage participants to think locally and impact globally with their textile waste. We will be accepting donations of CLEAN clothes and sewing supplies at the event. Donations are not required to participate just a creative urge. As always PLEASE NO SHOES!

Hats are a way to define ourselves and they are a form of Armor the way a fantastic pair of shoes or a great coat is...We create one of a kind Hats from many different kinds of Straws, and Wools. All our hats are hand made; none are pre-formed, all are "pulled" by hand and shaped out of flat or slightly lumpy wool felt or fabric or straws from around the world. Each hat is individual and unique. Additionally we make hand made bags, many different syles including fantastic carpet bags and wonderful Reticules. Our work is historically inspired and has a steampunk feel that cant be beat!

We are very lucky. Everyone in this talk started out as makers just like you. Some of us lived in the middle of nowhere. 3D printing, Designing, Lasers, robotics and Radio Control. How did we get into movies with the odds stacked against us? We will share our stories of how we got into movies and show you how we snuck into the movie industry.
