Lara Grant designs clothing and accessories that blend history, education, and fun. Pulling from her background in fashion, physical computing, and education, colorful designs are made into pins, patches, and one-of-a-kind textile designs. Garments and bags highlight sustainable practices while engaging the wearer by communicating history or teaching hands-on skills. Waste materials are minimized by using low-waste cut patterns during garment and bag construction. Natural and organic fibers are used and each item is packaged in recyclable or biodegradable material. Lara first demoed at Bay Area Maker Faire in 2008 and has been a long-time member of the e-textiles community. She is excited to be back this year!

VeloArc — це не лише оптимізація міського простору та варіант короткострокового паркування велосипедів з можливістю захистити свій транспортний засіб від несприятливих погодних умов. Перш за все це можливість покращення інфраструктури міста та екології за рахунок створення зручної смарт системи для екологічно чистого транспорту. Проект передбачає створення мережі парковок поєднаних між собою в одну інформаційну мережу. Доступ до цієї мережі може здійснюватися з любого гаджета за рахунок встановлення додатку та авторизації користувача. Обладнавши велопарковки різноманітними датчиками та приладами ми зможемо надавати користувачу актуальну інформацію про наявність чи відсутність вільних місць в реальному часі з прив’язкою до електронної карти міста. Сповіщати про можливий несанкціоновані дії сторонніх осіб, надавати можливість відеоспостереження за залишеним майном в реальному часі. Та отримати відео матеріали за запитом. Мати можливість перевірити тиск в шинах та підкачати їх за необхідності. Проект VeloArc це ще один крок до створення комфортного простору для людей.
