sensorial analysis by e-nose and e-tongue

The proposed E-Nose and E-Tongue, developed at the University of Tor Vergata, consist of batteries of piezoelectric quartz on which metalloporphyrins are immobilized. The multidimensional response of these sensors, processed with neural networks, allows to define a “fingerprint” of the analyzed matrix similar to that processed by biological sensors (smell and taste). These sensors, adequately “trained”, can be of support for the sensory qualification of foods in support of traditional sensory analysis.

Come play with our robot friends as they try to flap and wave and spin around. Maybe they don’t always “work”, but they do always play. This year the (Very Small) Robot Choir is returning, along with new and old rolling friends in the robot playpen, in addition to some new jellyfish friends in their own eternal ocean. Program your own unique tiny robot musical performance by coloring in a paper grid, play with robots in the playpen by tilting their controllers, or gaze into a mysteriously deep aquarium with undulating robotic jellyfish. Our goal is to show kids that there is more to robotics than battle bots and race cars (as cool as they are), because we think that if more young artists grow up and build silly goofy robots in sweaters the world will be a better place.

FOGTOWN: The Puppetry Reimagining of the World's Greatest Detectives

Fogtown is an in-development TV series (and videogame!) for the whole family, blending the old-school art of puppetry with the cutting-edge innovations of virtual production. Emulating a small-scale style of the Volume-staged filmmaking used in The Mandalorian, Fogtown uses tools like Blender and the Unreal Engine to mix 3D printed puppets & props with digitally handcrafted environments that evoke the spirit of 1800s London (but reimagined with a cardboard diorama look). At our booth, we'll demonstrate the process of filming scenes for Fogtown and let fairgoers try out our choice-based videogame A Rum Case in Fogtown, featuring branching interactive movie gameplay. If you love The Muppets, Wallace & Gromit, or Sherlock Holmes, we think you'll really enjoy what we're up to!
