Michael Coney

Michael Coney is a cyberpunk storyteller whose work collides narrative environments, media, and immersive storytelling. He has worked with various organizations such as Arup US, Columbia University's Digital Storytelling Lab, The Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre and Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. With education from the Purchase College (B.A) and NYU's Integrated Design and Media M.S., Michael is working to break new grounds in storytelling using emerging technology, narrative environments, and digital media. Many of his projects center ideas of human connection, media technology, metaphysics, and the self. He has won awards at M.I.T., The Hudson Valley Tech Festival, and Lower Manhattan HQ in various disciplines including emerging technology, film, and experience design.

What Inspired You to Make This?

I like experimenting with wearables and wanted to do a project on the human body and sensory input after watching David eagleman’s TED talk.
