Generating Electricity with Garden Soil

The Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC) is an interesting technique for producing clean electricity using bacteria in garden soil. We are running the MFC Challenge at Westmount Mid-High School with 24 teams of students. According to NASA, MFCs have the potential to power long-duration space travel.
