Home made digital holographic microscope for 3D bio-imaging

We present a digital holographic microscope for quantitative phase contrast imaging of bio-samples. The device is low-cost and portable add-on module of a conventional microscope with 3D printed support. The microscope is based on the off-axis, common-path geometry in the detection path. The microscopy capabilities are demonstrated through several bio-imaging on biological specimens.

The Kármán line is a boundary 62 miles above mean sea level that borders Earth's atmosphere and the beginning of space, and the Kármán Sequence is the pursuit of unity between space science and graphic design initiated by Shanghai-based graphic designer Scene Peng and Delft-based aerospace engineer Weilun Qin. In harmony with nature and future, it outputs scientific thinkings and design logic through various forms and discussions. In this metallic Kármán Sequence ER-01, you will be introduced with a proposal of the satellite constellation in the Sun-synchronous orbit to extract solar power from space 24/7. We invite you to look up for the further space-borne possibilities to gather more solar energy and don't forget looking down on the ground to protect your eyes from possible energy laser transmitted from our satellite constellation.

AmpDiVa Customlectibles Audio Devices

A biphasic metamaterial with simultaneous insulation of vibration and noise

A fluid-solid biphasic 3D printable mechanical metamaterial can be capable of simultaneous insulation of elastic and acoustic waves, which is essential for efficient sound and vibration isolation solutions. The structural design of biphasic periodic material is inspired by the triply periodic minimal surface lattice, which is suited to maintain the two phases separated from each other. To analyze the performance of metamaterials, dispersion relationships need to be calculated. Finite element models and optimization algorithms are applied to look for the largest realizable frequency stopband.

It is known that in agriculture a healthy and protected environment is important for having a quality harvest. Being able to intervene promptly and within tight deadlines is essential in agriculture to solve any problem encountered in the soil. Hence the idea of creating a "robot insect" that is able to move autonomously on the ground and, thanks to the advanced technology with which it is equipped, will be able to analyze the technical parameters of the soil. This allows the farmer to have the results in real time (or in any case a few minutes after the analysis) without having to wait days (as in the current laboratory analysis method).

With its custom-developed software, Sigma has become one of the most popular servers in Italy, collecting large numbers in three years, and differentiating itself from the competition for the development of new features and fluidity in gameplay. Players can create a unique character, choosing their appearance, clothing, name and background. They play a specific role, such as policeman, criminal, paramedic, etc. and interact with each other using proximity voice chat.
