Sync Tank is an open-source project exploring new ways to observe, understand, and interact with aquatic environments. It brings together aquariums, cameras, robotics, and intelligent software into one connected system designed to make aquatic life easier to watch, study, and care for, while keeping the project approachable, local-first, and open for others to build on.

Our projects come from a mix of engineering, aquarium care, curiosity, and a lot of hands-on tinkering, with the goal of making useful tools, learning from the process, and sharing what works openly with others.
