Plasticola
Maker Faire Bay Area 2026
September 25th-27th
Plasticola is an illuminated interactive wave sculpture that responds to approaching viewers by changing light patters from a clam blue to an agitated red. It is built from familiar discarded plastic water bottles and shopping bags to relate my viewers to their contribution to this angry environment. Plasticola is a transformative environment that ask the viewer to support the environment they wish to perpetuate.
Sena Clara Creston
Sena Clara Creston is an interactive installation artist and educator. She learned to create personal space from repurposed material by growing up in Artist in New York City. Creston learned to use the power of the image to tell convincing stories while studying photography at New York University, and went on to study electronic arts at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where she animated responsive installations to reflect the viewer’s actions and the environment’s point of view. Creston moved to the California in 2020 to work as a photography and media arts professor at Sonoma State University, where she fell in love with the feeling of freedom inspired by the power and open space of the Pacific Ocean.
