System Architects is a New York architecture practice led by Jeremy Edmiston. The studio’s fascination with complex geometry and leveraging digital design tools has produced some of contemporary architecture’s most striking yet affordable designs.
Harnessing the power of digital modeling and construction documentation tools with standard inexpensive construction materials and make artistic expressive structures with them, like a standard red brick used in an undulating organic building facade.
What inspired you to make this project?:
While digital design tools have been available for a number of years now, their design capability has outpaced the ability of humans to construct the digital designs. The tools have improved and lowered in cost and now we have the ability to achieve outstanding evocative designs for a significantly more affordable cost and comprehensive communication to the tradespeople building it in reality, while creating accessibility to this type of "Design".
