Electronic Go Board
World Maker Faire New York 2018
September 22nd-23rd
Go is an ancient game played with white and black stones on a 19 x 19 grid. We created an authentic wooden Go board that uses photoresistors, multiplexers, an Arduino, and a computer to detect moves and make an electronic file of the game record.
Matteo Fiori
Matteo is a 6th grader who loves Go and Computer Programming. He lives in Brooklyn, New York. He has gone to Maker Faire many times but this is his first time entering a project.
Nick Fiori
Nick is a teacher, a musician, a Go player, and a tinkerer. Making the Go board with his son was the biggest electronics project either of them have made.
Salena Fiori
Salena is a 1st grader who is amazing at putting things together and understanding how they work. We needed her little, fine-tuned hands and ability to troubleshoot problems numerous times during this project.
