Getting Started with LoRa and LoRaWAN

LoRa is an emerging radio technology for the Internet of Things that promises long range and low power consumption. Learn how to choose a transceiver, software libraries, and settings; the difference between LoRa and LoRaWAN; and how to take advantage of The Things Network.

What inspired you to begin investigating your topic or inspired you to make your project?:
I make a lot of hardware that collects data in remote places. Usually that hardware uses mobile phone networks for data transmission. That's great, but it takes a lot of power. LoRa is much more efficient, and for a case where you have a lot of sensors in a relatively contained area -- one town, for example -- LoRaWAN makes much more sense.
