After many years of searching for the right design outlet, I started Emiko Shinozaki Jewelry in 2015 when I realized that I was selling more and more of the jewelry designs that I had created for myself to wear. A former professional violinist and teacher, I felt the time had come to break away from a profession that had "chosen me" to become a maker, handcrafting jewelry of my own design. I credit my intense classical music training, living abroad and working in Florence, Paris, and NYC as well as my pre-med background for the inspiration for my current work. Every piece represents the evolution and development over decades of learning and fusing many disciplines.
Inspired by organic chemistry & nature, the makers at Emiko Shinozaki Jewelry handcraft geometric designs in Brass, Sterling Silver & Gold. Each original piece is soldered, formed, filed and polished individually in our studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
