Maplewoodshop is on a mission to bring woodworking back into schools, libraries, STEM labs, camps, and community groups. We offer jigs, tools, lesson plans and training for teachers and leaders to then teach woodworking. Join us!
Woodworking; the original STEM lab. Make some shavings with us using hand planes and other tools to make a bench over the weekend and help us bring woodworking back into schools, STEM labs, libraries, and camps using hand tools.

Kids need opportunities to work with their hands in organic ways. We found that woodworking is a tremendous medium for developing life-skills such as perseverance, innovation, and teamwork. Woodworking teaches people to take raw materials and create finished projects while learning to work with wood that still has knots, uneven grain, and other reminders that this was once alive.
