The Mountain Lakes Makers Club

The Mountain Lakes Makers Club is a volunteer organization in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey providing maker technology and interactive learning opportunities for students enrolled in grades K-5 at the Mountain Lakes Elementary School.

What inspired you to make this project?:
Mountain Lakers Makers Club is building a knowledge base for Kindergarten through fifth grade students in the following areas: Robotics, programming, circuitry, electronics, 3D printing, and crafting (including wearable technology). Our Makers Club is actively involved in community wide events where students have the opportunity to present their projects. One of the excellent features of today’s maker technology products is compatibility. Most products can be used in conjunction with one another, and more importantly, the skills students learn are additive and can be applied across disciplines.
