Come hear about a project to design, build and deploy an Arduino-based drifting buoy in oceans around the world. The presentation will cover the origin of the project, the hardware, and the status and results of several buoy deployments.

Wayne has been building gadgets since he was in middle school. A mathematician by training, he works as a an engineer at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Maryland. He lives near Baltimore with his wife and young daughter, both of whom are often enlisted to help with his crazy projects.
