STEM and Making are hot topics in schools today. The hands-on, inquiry based nature of these types of classes bring much needed cross-curricular skills to students. Learn how the inclusion of Design Thinking in these classes can tie empathy into projects so that students are making for a purpose.
Meredith Martin
Meredith is a teacher at the Science Leadership Academy Middle School in Philadelphia, an inquiry driven, project based learning school. She is the Technology and Makerspace teacher. Meredith is also a national education consultant who specializes in STEM and Makerspaces in schools. She often brings her Mobile Makerspace to local education conferences to teach others how to implement making.
