Sam Montgomery's artwork ranges from handmade dolls to pottery and art made from found objects. The 44 Daughters (and Sons) Collection began when he was a student at a music academy, and show that we should be celebrated for our differences.
The 44 Daughters (and Sons) suggest what is is like to be a family of girls (and boys) who are all different. They show the world that we are all the same, but also our own selves, and we should be accepted for who we are.
What inspired you to make this project?:
I was inspired by making the 44 Daughters collection to let other people know that being different is okay. My 44 Daughters are a voice for people you are unique, special and independent. I also want to help people use their creativity and originality to make their own original art. It is a great experience for my dollmakers to sit and focus on their projects without any technology.
