Two full-time Massachusetts clock repairers will demonstrate basic tools and reveal age-old practices needed to fix wind-up gear-driven vintage timepieces. We will freely share information on how best to explore this challenging early technology.

Bob Frishman

Bob Frishman has repaired, collected and researched antique timekeepers since 1980. He lectures regularly about the history, science and culture of mechanical timekeeping. He is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers, London UK.

Dug North Maker Picture

Dug North

Dug North's fondness of machines, tools, and fabrication techniques led him in 2002 to the world of automaton-making and clock repair. In his fully equipped shop, he now fixes antique clocks professionally and makes wood automata in his spare time.
