Juniors for The High School of Fashion Industries created, for the 6th year amazing dresses for the New York Public Libraries Anti-Prom. Their research was inspired by The Secret Garden and their flowery designs were all inspired by the garden theme.
The High School of Fashion Industries & The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, published in 1911, was inspiration for 16 Juniors to design, construct dresses and model for the gala fashion show at the New York Public Library's Anti-Prom inJune
What inspired you to make this project?:
The New York Public Library and their Anti-Prom inspired us. The NYPL give our HSFI students the inspiration for their research, the fabric and the platform for our young designers at the HSFI. And our hard working students and teachers work very hard to Make It Work as Tim Gunn says! Every year I say this fashion show was the best at the NYPL but I know this years truly was.
