We are The Highland Park Thursday Evening Gentlemen’s Society Circuit Bending Marching Band and Ladies’ Auxiliary. We don our eclectic gold and blue costumes, attach our circuit bent toys to small amps and “march” in parades, such as our annual hometown NELA Holiday Parade in Highland Park. We have also been the opening act for live stage shows entering the venue in full regalia and noise, parade onto the stage, perform a composition with preset circuit bent instruments, then off and out.

Bent City is Jeff Boynton. Jeff Boynton is Bent City. Jeff Boynton is me, I am Jeff Boynton, therefore I am also Bent City, and Bent City is therefore me. I am a musician/composer/performer/artist/inventor. As Bent City, I perform on musical instruments that I design through the practice of circuit bending. In many of these instruments, I have designed circuitry enabling them to interact with each other and with more conventional instruments, percussion in particular. I also embed microcontrollers in my instruments for further functionality.
