Having been operating for 19 years, Russell, the Electric Giraffe has enjoyed being the unofficial mascot of the Maker Faire since 2006. This year we hope Russell himself, our project's programmer, will fly out this year to attend the show!

Going to Burning Man and fixing people's broken down art cars! From there I designed the giraffe to be as robust a machine as possible, and in the process ended up creating one of the most lovable robots ever made.
