Kind Humanoid, Inc.

Home: California, United States

Christoph has single handedly built the first intelligent humanoid that reaches human level motion performance and leverages foundation models for reasoning. His background is experimental quantum physics at Stanford and he dove into AI at Google Brain Robotics. Kind Humanoid is now building a humanoid at a BOM of $10k and developing a skill learning pipeline to reach true general task capability. This will open up applications in fully unstructured environments, ranging from assistance with care in people's homes all the way to amplifying any human endeavor in the future.

What Inspired You to Make This?

Christoph built an intelligent humanoid robot with human level motion capabilities entirely from scratch. The robot leverages a large language model to decide on how to act in unstructured environments. This opens up unprecedented applications like home care all the way to assist humans in general to build an inspiring tomorrow. We now have a team up and running, building the v2 of our humanoid and hitting crucial milestones on developing the learning pipe for skill learning from video in the wild - which we bet is the key to getting humanoids actually ready for everyday environments.
