This workshop will show some simple tips and tricks for using recycled and low cost materials to build robotics projects. Borrowing ideas from the Robot Petting Zoo and projects by Cecilia Hillway (lip synching robots) and Natasha Dzurny (cardboard guitar) and others you will develop a toolkit for building low cost and engaging projects. The project proposes an innovative interaction between physical and virtual reality using Weart's touchDIVER and the Oculus Rift S visor. The operator uses the touchDIVER and the visor to immerse himself in the virtual environment. A robotic hand replicates the movements of the physical hand, allowing interaction with virtual objects, including a CT-reconstructed abdominal section. The touchDIVER provides haptic feedback of force, temperature and texture. The aim is to offer an innovative medical simulation experience for surgeons, doctors and students, facilitating practice and learning.

To define the sensory profile of a product according to UNI/ISO standards, the test must be carried out in sensory booths; "white rooms" where it is tested in ideal conditions. ISO booths are not easy to find, so we decided to make them portable: the Sensorial Stations. These can be of various types: • ISO Mode a sensory booth • Desk Mode a sensory desk • MiniSens which transforms any desk into an ISO station But our aim is to highlight how the tasting of products changes according to the conditions in which it takes place. This is why we want to train and challenge the senses of consumers to recognize the characteristics of the products in any environment.

Our primary activities will be sorting and cleaning of collected plastic (specifically HDPE), shredding the plastic and then using Precious Plastic equipment (injection or compression moulds) to make objects participants can walk away with. We will also offer a plastic bag crafting project where participants can use simple tools to make sturdy bags and wallets from plastic bags. Participants will learn about the global Precious Plastic community and how they can participate at home or start a group of their own. Each weekend we will host a local artist or entrepreneur who is using these same processes and equipment to create products from waste plastics.
