ARES

Faire: Rome

Maker: ITIS GALILEO GALILEI DI ROMA

ARES project was born 4 years ago from the idea of 4 students passionate about the aerospace world and dreamers of a human landing on Mars. They asked themselves a question: how will the resources necessary to survive on a desert planet be found? They developed a project to verify the feasibility of a plantation on the red planet, faithfully recreating the Martian biosphere. An electronic brain will manage the sensors and irrigation of each dome. Finally, all the data will be managed within a portal, implementing a procedure in relation to the IoT.

Maker: I.I.S.Piazza Resistenza

POT is an instrument contained within a small case, a feature that makes it easily transportable. It is capable of measuring, thanks to three specific probes, temperature, pH and TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) in the water. The probe data is analyzed by an Arduino board and is shown on an LCD display. Under different conditions, it is also turns on 4 LEDs. POT is an innovative and extremely useful tool: it can be taken anywhere thanks to its small size and it has a battery inside so it doesn’t need external power supplies. Just turn it on, put the probes in the water and you're done! Wherever you want to know if the water is drinkable or not, POT is ready, easy to use, clear and fast.

ANTIBACTERIAL TABLEWARE

Faire: Rome

Maker: Ceramiche NOI S.c.a.r.l.

The "Antibacterial Plate" project stems from an important Research & Development phase that the company has already undertaken since 2020 during the pandemic. We wondered what could be needed in such a moment and what it could cope with in a market like ours to a pandemic but also to an improvement of catering and private environments. This is how the research and first prototyping phase of this project began, which saw the filing of a patent for a particular object which, due to its particularity, can reject up to 99% of the bacteria that deposit on it can be bacteria of various types and by imagining the various "passages" of dishes, for example in a restaurant or self-service restaurant or naval restaurant halls, we hypothesized that these objects could have an enormous plus compared to other identical but not antibacterial objects. We have therefore arrived at the laboratory certification of products both in single color and with antibacterial decorations and decals with a characteristic that resists the microwave oven and dishwasher for the entire life of the product without ever failing up to at its breakup. This product is extremely innovative as it can be used in many areas, both private and public, to increase hygiene and above all to counteract the spread of bacteria in the kitchen and in refreshment areas without considering that being reusable after washing it is also highly environmental impact and reduces the use of "single portions" which are extremely polluting today.

Ternary Computer System

Faire: Rome

Maker: Claudio La Rosa

We design a new type of microprocessor, which works with ternary logic (instead of the usual binary). The immediate benefits of the ternary are: Compact information much better (than binary system); It reduces the size of the chips (especially the memory, which today occupies most of the surface). Our idea offers technological advantages that enable a great leap forward in traditional processing and supercomputing. It is optimally applied to the emerging fields of artificial intelligence and the brain-machine connection. Some neurobiological research groups are implementing neural networks with modeling of neurons using three states, because this better matches the activity of neurons. We design, write specifications (ISA) and implement ternary microprocessors.
