D-Box

THE RETURN OF MAKER FAIRE BAY AREA! 1000 Ways to Wear: miss velvet cream Neocouture presentation of wearable outfits made from upcycled Tshirts. The pieces are all made from past year's deadstock Maker Faire Bay Area shirts. These 5 outfits are presented on a series of femme sewing dressforms, sized from 4-12. Remake of deadstock (produced but unworn, unsold pieces) transforms waste into a garment given new life and a new story. These pieces are all wild, extravagant miss velvet cream creations, all upcycled- cut, stitched, ruffled, flounced, ripped, tied, layered, embellished, stretched, and stitched again. These outfits are all sustainable fashion, handmade, and infused with meaning and value from the simplest TShirts. Let's dream together what we could wear in the future, today!

Civil Air Patrol Aerospace Education

Civil Air Patrol is the volunteer auxiliary of the United States Air Force. Squadron 278 is based at the Akron Canton Airport. We have programs for both youth (ages 12 to 18) and adults. Civil Air Patrol provides free STEM kits and classroom support to educators (K-12) including telescopes, rockets, hydraulics. robotic and cyber. Our cadet program promotes aerospace education/STEM with bimonthly session relating to all areas of the science of flight. Our Aerospace Education Officer is the holder of Ohio's top awards for Aerospace Education.

ARES project was born 4 years ago from the idea of 4 students passionate about the aerospace world and dreamers of a human landing on Mars. They asked themselves a question: how will the resources necessary to survive on a desert planet be found? They developed a project to verify the feasibility of a plantation on the red planet, faithfully recreating the Martian biosphere. An electronic brain will manage the sensors and irrigation of each dome. Finally, all the data will be managed within a portal, implementing a procedure in relation to the IoT.

This well thought out pin even has the directions written right on the back for easy reference. This is the best kit to learn to solder with. Just ask anyone who's been to a Maker Faire! We supply the tools and run a new session every 30 minutes from 10:30am to 5:30pm, walk-ins welcome but seating is limited, grab your session token and badge at the Maker Coal Shed for only $2!

Connecting Humans And Robots Through Wearable Haptics

In this project, the objective is to record and transmit tactile sensations to the fingertip. We developed both the sensing part and the wearable actuation part. The sensing part is in charge of sensing tactile cues applied to the finger. The actuation part is a wearable robotic thimble that squeezes the fingertip, rendering in real-time the sensation experienced on the sensing side. Actuation and sensing counterparts are placed in different locations

We present examples such as a playroom, meeting room, cooperative firefighter work simulation, etc. But the system lends itself to continuously adding new environments as needed because Commigo is aimed at everyone. With the presentation of the new VR headsets (Apple and Meta), the public's interest in this object's potential in everyday life has opened; we would like to demonstrate that the future that seems so distant is already present.

Este projeto tem por base a criação de biomateriais feitos à base de cogumelo, com caracteristicas únicas e que são uma execelente alternativa aos plásticos, uma vez que no seu fim de vida estes são compostaveis. O seu processo de produção é muito idêntico ao ciclo de produção do cogumelo, sendo por isso um processo de baixo impacto a nível ambiental e que utiliza como materiais resíduos das indústrias do café e arroz.
