Exhibit

Scientist-turned-Artist Amanda Preske transforms electronic waste into wearable and decorative art. Her work makes use of discarded materials like circuit boards, ribbon cable, resistors, keyboards, and capacitors, and combines them with epoxy resin. She's made everything from beautiful necklaces to custom art pieces of Ada Lovelace! Take a peek inside the Circuit Breaker Labs studio to see what, and how, Amanda turns trash into treasure.

Amanda Preske

Amanda Preske of Circuit Breaker Labs creates products with simple forms to best highlight the aesthetics of e-waste (circuit boards, resistors, and other electronic scrap), while complimenting the geometric nature of technological items. She transforms this e-waste into men’s accessories, home gift items, and contemporary jewelry & accessories. Her work is enhanced by the use of epoxy resin to add depth and she often works with recycled silver to further her sustainability endeavors.
