Robot that makes friendship bracelets

Virtually Maker Faire 2020

Exhibit

Robot that makes friendship bracelets is an original (patented) invention made with the aim to spark the interest of girls for the STEM fields. This prototype is based on Arduino, it has 3D printed parts and the friendship bracelets are made from 3 strings, in the same way as braids are being made from hair.

It is unique because it combines the STEM fields with something that all girls around the world love - making friendship bracelets. Kids get very excited when they start examining it and I believe that it has a bright future in sparking the interest of young students, especially girls, for the field of Electronics, Computer Programming and Electrical engineering.

I presented it on Maker Faire Vienna 2019, Belgrade Science Festival 2018, AFA Innovation week and many other fairs where it made numerous friendship bracelets for visitors, while making them highly interested and curious about the whole process and Electronic components.

Robot that makes friendship bracelets is awarded with a gold medal on Tesla Fest 2019- International Festival of Innovation, Knowledge and Creativity, which is supported by World Intellectual Property Organisation.
