Virtually Maker Faire 2020

There’s a challenge to being a socially engaged artist during a time when many forms of social engagement are forbidden. For several years, I have brought the Dream Exchange to Maker Faires, arts festivals, and other places where people gather. Over 300 people have contributed their writings and artwork to this interactive project but that was in the World Before COVID. The Dream Exchange has now moved online and everyone is welcome to participate.

With the isolation and stress of the pandemic, dreams are a heightened experience. They are more vivid and surreal.
We seek understanding. We are curious about each other’s dreams. We wonder what others see in their sleep. We wonder what our dreams mean. We ascribe meaning to the symbols but we can only guess.
