The Internet Controlled Corona Virus Slapper

Virtually Maker Faire 2020

May 22nd-23rd

Exhibit

The Internet Controlled Corona Virus Slapper is a robot that allows people to slap the corona virus with a roll of toilet paper via the internet.

The hardware of the project consists of a Raspberry Pi, a servo and a Pi Camera. To allow people to use the robot remotely, it's connected it to the robot streaming platform Remo.tv. Via Remo.tv you can look at the robot in real time and press a button to initiate the slapping. By pressing the button on the website, the servo moves the 3D printed toilet paper back and forth, hitting the 3D printed corona virus. The corona virus is hanging from a fishing wire and equipped with big googly eyes, making it swing and shake once it's been hit.
