Make Yourself Clear: Explaining Your Work Effectively

Virtually Maker Faire 2020

May 22nd-23rd

Exhibit

For many creative people, it’s much easier to make something impressive than it is to talk about it. We let our work speak for us to capture the attention of our audience directly. But sometimes we need to put our ideas into words as well to answer questions, explain our process, to create a good website, or to sell our work. Jessica Gardner of Artglish is a language coach with a background in both art and ESL (English as a second language). In this interactive workshop, she’ll share strategies to help you talk about your work in a way that’s clear and engaging so that you can present your work to the public with more confidence. Participants are encouraged to have a digital image of their work to share with the group.
