Mobile Escape normally brings the escape room to you in the back of one of our trailers, but in light of social distancing and isolation, we can no longer #awakenwonder that way. What were we to do? How were we going to innovate and pivot due to the restrictions brought about by COVID-19? We put our heads together and landed on Escape Mail. Escape Mail brings the escape room adventure to you, but with an envelope you receive in the mail! We use a wide variety of puzzles, clues, ciphers, and escape room-style games to tell a story across 12 monthly episodes. Our innovative, narrative-driven project takes the popular medium of escape rooms and makes it accessible from the safety of your home. Escape Mail is designed to be enjoyed solo, or with a small group of people. By using multimedia interactives to crack codes and solve puzzles, the tale of your long-lost cousin, J. J. Fitzpatrick, unfolds over the course of a year-long adventure. On top of the entertainment value, Escape Mail was designed with enriching educational connections. For Episode 1, supplementary lessons and curricular alignment are provided for teachers and parents seeking to make Escape Mail a holistic learning experience. We have created something that has allowed us to channel our creativity, establish a solid learning resource, and provide hours of fun for the whole family. Escape Mail features 3 difficulties, creating accessibility for all levels of skill. Whether you are a professional escape room enthusiast, or some just seeking a challenge, Escape Mail can be enjoyed by anyone!
