SLAM Combined with Image Processing for Embedded Systems

World Maker Faire New York 2018

September 22nd-23rd

Presentation Robotics

Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) is a common problem in robotics where a robot must generate a map of its surroundings. We designed a SLAM algorithm for a Raspberry Pi that uses Image Processing and point alignment to efficiently generate an accurate map in real time.
