SLAM Combined with Image Processing for Embedded Systems
World Maker Faire New York 2018
September 22nd-23rd
Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) is a common problem in robotics where a robot must generate a map of its surroundings. We designed a SLAM algorithm for a Raspberry Pi that uses Image Processing and point alignment to efficiently generate an accurate map in real time.
Alex Zhang
My name is Alex Zhang and I'm a rising junior from Montgomery High School, New Jersey. I am extremely interested in deep learning, robotics, and game development. Aside from my SLAM project, I am also currently working on a deep learning project as well as developing my own computer game. I also love to play tennis.
