Caleb lives at the intersection of creative technology and business. A former management consultant, he is now a student at the NYU ITP. He has a primary interest in networks, connected devices, and the manipulation of data and media.
CRYPT0MANIA is a fabricated sculpture designed as commentary on the cryptocurrency pandemonium. It lights up based on the 1 hour price change (a percentage value) of a particular crypto-currency – Ethereum.
What inspired you to make this project?:
I was inspired by the absolute pandemonium and mania surrounding cryptocurrencies in late 2017. I had been researching blockchain technology for a long time, and to see this reaction from the public was astounding. I wanted to encapsulate this mania and use my fabrication skills to make something interesting for the world.
