Swaleh Owais is a an avid life long maker whose key areas of interest are automating menial repetitive soul crushing tasks; manufacturing efficiency in Industry 4.0; bringing accountability to the internet; and STEAM education advocacy.
An autonomous 3D printer that automatically ejects and starts print jobs. This research project explores the capabilities of Industry 4.0 and process automation.
What inspired you to make this project?:
I have personally worked in a 3D printing lab. This experience made me well aware of both the potential and restrictions of 3D printers. I have personally seen students make amazing devices using 3D printers at my workplace. And I have been frustrated by the limitations of our services. I know that developing an automated part ejector will drastically increase the functionality and performance of 3D printers.
